Sir,

I have the honour to inform you that at the written request of the French Consul, the Harbour Master has granted permission to store in the Government Depot, Stone-cutters Island, the following cases of ammunition arrived by the French Mail Steamer "Annam" viz; 126 cases of ammunition for the "Descartes" and 1 case of cartridges for the "Argus."

I shall be glad to know whether H.M's Ships ever require or receive such facilities at a Foreign port.
